Terms & conditions

These terms cover your use of My NUST (“NUST - A Student App” on Google Play) and its companion website, provided by Hexagone. Please read them alongside our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

An independent companion

The app is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the National University of Sciences & Technology. It is not a replacement for Qalam, LMS or university staff. NUST names, marks and portal content belong to their respective owners. Linking to or displaying a portal does not imply an official partnership.

Your account and permission

Only connect accounts you are authorized to use. Saving credentials and automatic sync are optional. You remain responsible for complying with university and portal rules; saving credentials in this app does not grant permission to access, copy or redistribute information. Do not use the app to bypass access controls, access another person's account without permission, overload services or misuse personal data.

Keep your device and account credentials protected. Never send your password to support. Turning off the connection stops automatic sync and autofill but keeps local data until you choose to delete it.

Records, estimates and availability

Synced information may be incomplete, delayed or unavailable. Portal changes can interrupt access or import. Source and sync timestamps help you check freshness, but do not guarantee accuracy. Always verify schedules, deadlines, attendance, grades and payment status in the official portal.

GPA and weighted-score tools provide planning estimates, not official results or a promise of academic improvement. Repeated courses, credit rules, rounding and university policies may produce different official outcomes. Do not rely only on this app for payments, submission deadlines or academic decisions.

Local data and downloads

You can choose which local data to delete in Settings. Deletion is permanent and does not delete official university records or your portal account. Keep separate copies of important files and planner entries. You are responsible for checking downloaded content and having the rights to use or share it.

Third-party services

Qalam, LMS, campus websites, Google Play, GitHub and Firebase are operated by third parties. Their applicable terms and privacy policies govern their services. Hexagone cannot guarantee their availability or control their content.

Open-source code and branding

The source code is available on GitHub under the repository's license. That license does not automatically grant rights to university trademarks, third-party content or Hexagone branding. The repository license governs use and distribution of the code.

Limits and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or error-free calculations. Hexagone is not responsible for losses caused by relying on inaccurate or unavailable portal information or planner estimates, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
